FAQ
How often should I have my laneway graded?
Most gravel laneways benefit from grading once or twice per year — usually after spring thaw and before winter. Regular grading prevents deeper ruts and extends the life of the surface.
Can you fix washouts or soft spots?
Yes. We can rebuild the base using Granular A or similar material, compact it properly, and correct drainage issues that cause recurring washouts. See our Culverts & Drainage Fixes services for more information.
Do you supply the gravel too?
Absolutely. All materials come directly from our own pits and quarries. Learn more about available products on our Stone & Gravel
How long does grading take?
Most residential laneways can be graded and compacted in a day, depending on length, condition, and material needs. Larger or heavily damaged lanes may require additional time for rebuilding and compaction.
Can grading improve drainage problems?
Yes. Proper grading is one of the best ways to manage surface water. We can create a crown (slight center ridge) or slope the lane for controlled runoff and long-term stability.
