A Family Business Built on Hard Work
Founded in 1957 by George Tackaberry, the company began with one truck and a strong work ethic. Over the years, that same spirit has carried through generations — growing into a regional leader in aggregates, excavation, and road construction.
Today, Tackaberry operates over 50 pits and quarries, with divisions in Athens, Perth, and Seeley’s Bay, and a team of more than 200 employees during peak season. We remain proudly family-owned and committed to doing business the right way: with integrity, reliability, and respect for our neighbours.
